An expedition specific down jacket for extreme environments.

Designed for use in the most extreme environments on earth, the Apex 8000 Down Jacket has been developed in conjunction with expedition leading mountaineers and tested in high altitudes of 8000m+. The jacket is designed to be used with the Apex 8000 Down Salopettes as part of a 2 piece system, which gives it versatility for use at lower altitudes or on polar expeditions. Filled with 500 grams of 90/10 ExpeDRY goose down at 850+ fill power within a box-walled construction. With the additional water resistance of PrimaLoft® insulation in key areas, there is no compromise to functionality or features on this piece of survival gear.

ExpeDRY™ GOOSE DOWN. Fast-drying Real-Gold Tech.

The Apex 8000 Down Jacket is filled with ExpeDRY™ Goose Down, which has non-toxic gold particles bonded to it for fast-drying performance and industry-leading warmth. The chemical-free technology works because gold particles vibrate water molecules, just like heat does, to speed up evaporation to a rate faster than the water absorption rate of down, while managing moisture from the body.

PERTEX® QUANTUM PRO. Thermal Efficiency.

Windproof, durable and highly water-resistant, Pertex® Quantum Pro in the Apex 8000 utilises a combination of a 30D ripstop and 50D ripstop reinforcement fabric in high wear areas. The fabric features an ultra-thin water-resistant coating on the inside of the fabric and a durable water repellent finish (with no intentional use of PFAS) on the outside to provide reliable weather resistant protection in the harshest of conditions. The tightly woven yarn construction traps warm air inside the jacket and improves the efficiency of the down insulation.
